Asteroid Mining

Select a real asteroid beneath the reticle and hold left mouse to extract within the current tool range.

How to use it

  1. Right-click an asteroid or use the target key; approach the resource shown on its card.
  2. Hold left mouse to mine. The rookie cannon supports the introductory extraction route; fitted mining lasers offer distinct throughput and waste.
  3. Return to a station and choose whether to sell the ore, refine it, or retain it for a recipe.

Field notes

The beam comes from the fitted emitter or the rookie gun muzzle in Experimental. Ordinary ore rocks and rare nodes use the same reticle-based target selection.

Named industry ores have individual refining yields; do not apply the legacy Raw Ore recipe to every ore.
